Campsite Rules
At Twin Lakes, we don’t want to start your holiday by giving you a list of dos & don’ts but please read these rules before your arrival to ensure you are clear with the expectations of the campsite. They are displayed at reception, on the noticeboard and at the toilet & shower blocks, and are for the benefit of everyone. Failure to adhere to the rules could result in you being asked to leave the campsite.
Reception/Bar
Reception is open at 9am each day in high season. If it is closed during office hours for any reason, a mobile number is displayed on the door to contact us. Emergency contact numbers are also displayed on the reception door. When you arrive please report to the reception, located at the bar, to complete contact forms and collect your caravan keys. You are able to check-in from 2pm on your arrival day.
Pitching up
Please speak to a member of the Twin Lakes team before pitching up your caravan, tent or motor home. We have a number of private emplacements available or a large field overlooking one of our fishing lakes. We will show you where the water and electric hook ups are and a tour of the site where you can then make a decision of where you would like to stay.
Motor vehicles
There is a 5mph/8km speed limit across the park. Car & caravan washing is not permitted on site.
Pets
We welcome dogs to come and stay on the campsite but they must not be left unattended during your stay and must be kept on a lead, except where stated. Please clean up after your pets and ensure it does not cause a danger or disturbance to other guests. Twin Lakes does not take any responsibility for any dog on the campsite. The local vets in Montendre are able to complete a pet passport for your journey home.
Fishing
Fishing is included in the price of your stay. For a full list of the fishing rules click here.
Fires / BBQs
No fires, fire pits, fireworks or Chinese lanterns of any kind are permitted on site. Charcoal & gas BBQs are allowed but must be raised off the ground.
Smoking
Smoking is permitted around the site and in the bar area. Smoking is allowed on the decking of caravans but not inside. We want to keep the site clean and tidy so we ask that you do not throw your cigarettes on the floor after you have finished. Please do not be offended if we witness you doing this and ask you to pick them up. You are not allowed to smoke in the swimming pool area. There are ash trays in all caravans, in the bar and outside the swimming pool.
Quiet time
Please be considerate of other guests and keep music and noise to a minimum. After 11pm we request quiet time across the park. We will not tolerate any persistent noise, nuisance or unruly behaviour. Anyone found to be causing a problem will be asked to leave without a refund. The Owner's decision is final.
Emergencies
In the event of a fire, please evacuate to the emergency assembly point on the main camping field. In the event of discovering a fire, please raise the alarm by ringing the bells located on the fire points around the site. Emergency contact numbers are displayed in the reception door during closed hours.
Toilets/showers
Please supervise young children in the toilet and shower area and ensure you close the door and turn off the lights after entering/departing. The toilet blocks will be cleaned daily and may be closed temporarily at this time. We ask you to please leave the shower areas as you would hope to find them and anything left in the showers or toilets will be removed and disposed off.
Waste disposal
Bins are available for the disposal of general waste and recycling. Separate bins are available for general waste, glass, plastic, paper/cardboard and tin. We have one chemical and waste disposal point located behind the disabled shower block next to the swimming pool. All guests are asked to empty their bins appropriately on their departure. If you require disposal of a large item or packaging we ask you take it to the local bin yourself. You can ask a member of the Twin Lakes team where the nearest bins are in the area.
Children's Play Area
We have just opened a brand new children's play area next to the bar. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times whilst using the equipment. If something is deliberately broken you may be asked to pay for the repair or replacement. The gate at the entrance must is closed at all times. The play area will be open from 9am - 9pm in high season. Rules are displayed in the play area.
Wi-Fi
To connect find ‘Phonexpat’ in your Wi-Fi listings, you will be requested to enter a password which you can collect from Reception. Currently, you can only use the Wi-Fi in the bar.
Swimming Pool
There are two swimming pools. One is very deep and the other is a children's pool. Children must be supervised at all times. There is no lifeguard present at the pool. All rules for using the pool are displayed clearly around the area. Failure to follow the rules will result in you being asked to the leave the swimming pool. No food is to be consumed around the pool and smoking is prohibited.
Accidents and Emergencies
A first aid kit can be located at reception. In case of an emergency, telephone numbers are displayed at reception.
Insurance
All guests must have their own insurance. Twin Lakes will not be held responsible for theft, fire, loss or damage caused to your property.
Behaviour
We expect everyone to respect each other and the area. Anyone shown to be acting inappropriately will be asked to leave immediately.
Drinking
The legal drinking age in France is 18. Alcohol will not be served to anyone under the age of 18. You will be asked for ID if we believe that you are under age.
Departure
If you are staying in one of our caravans we ask that you vacate by 10am of your departure morning. You will be required to hand your key back to reception and all rubbish taken to the general bins.
